For my partner, DIVYA N, I'm really sorry for being late to post my design on reveal day yesterday. I'm out town and very difficult to find good internet connection to upload photos. Now, I'm still out town but the city quite big than yesterday. Here we go...
This is my third time joining in Bead Soup Blog Party. And thank you so much for our dearest host LORI ANDERSON for bringing us from all around the world into creative and fabulous party.

I was so lucky to be paired with Divya N from India, a professional jewelry maker + teacher. Divya sent me colorful soup, so I can create more design. Here what she sent for me...
Play with colors truly not my ability. This is a big challenge for me, how to create design which can put all colors elements above into one. Yes, the above color elements are so stunning! I spent several weeks thinking about the design. And when I saw the color palette of peacock, and that it is. The peacock gave me the final design.
Here's what I made...
Tai ka leleu is Dayak language means fairy forest. It is collar.
It is long process. From sewed the synthetic peacock feathers to fabric, then cover it full with seed bead. I made very long peyote 'fabric' using green seed bead. One week full to complete the 'fabric'. I put simple decoration on the top using silver and gold tune seed bead.
And on the bottom, where the peacock feather hang out, I made wavy decoration using netting beadweaving. I used a lot of colors combination there.
From 13o, 11o to 8o size and from round to drop shape, that is what kind of seed bead I used for the netting.
I used seed bead that Divya sent to me too. The deep orange one.
For the focal, I used the heart glass bead .
Here the focal. Become one with cobalt blue crystal bead and at the bottom, there is dangle flower. It looks like a brooch which embellish on the collar.
I add ribbon from red traditional thread on the top of toogle
Here the dangle flower. I used green wood ball and beautify it with seed bead and lorreal. I used circular brick stitch.
Here the drogonfly clasp. And I'm connecting the collar with unique gold and silver gypsy chain.
Here when the clasp and toogle together.
Here the embellish brooch. There are two same brooch, in the right and in the left.
Here the back looks.
Close-up
You can use this collar into three different styles. Here how to use this collar...
...Right Style...
...Center Style...
...Left Style...
I still have a lot of colors beads left and I will save them for the future projects *wink* Once again, thank you so much Divya, I never think that I will create something that colorful enough on one piece. And I did it with my Tai Ka Leleu. Totally out of my comfort zone. Big hug for our Lori Anderson. Her party is so challenging.
Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a peek at my BSBP reveal design. Here my partner blog Jewel of Sayuri, find out what she made with my soup *wink* That's where I'm going next…
Now...is perfect time for you to join the hopping party!!! Click links below and find beautiful and unique creation from around the world.
Enjoy!

DeleteSometimes I'm afraid that my imagination is too much. I want to make something simple, but always ending on pile and pile of details.
Beadwork artists continue to amaze me! A truly unique and exquisite piece.
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen =)

ReplyDeleteMatur suwun MakDok =D
DeleteFor the colors combination, well I can say that this project is my best achievement for now.
I am wondering how much time did you need to put all of this together?
ReplyDeleteI'm office woman too, so I can't do this full 8 hours daily basis. Mostly I did this after dinner at 7PM. If the mood was good, I can enjoy the project until 2AM =D if the mood was no good, 3hours was my best.
DeleteSewed the feather on the fabric ==> 1 day
Cover the fabric with full peyote in front and back ==> 6 days with various hours, between 3-5 hours/day
Netting ==> 2 days, 3-5hours/day + 1 full day to think about which colors that gonna be use, I'm not good in colors matching, so I need extra to deside which were gonna use.
2 brooch ==> 3-4 hours
You created an amazing piece, totally unique and with so many interesting details. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThanks Karin :)
DeleteI'm so happy when the soup arrived, that is one factor which give me extra power to deal with thedetails of my design.
